I have taught math full-time for 29 years; the last 18 years were at Mesa Community College.
During that time I researched and used the latest technology to enhance teaching and learning.
I have many years of experience creating e-learning materials for my own online and hybrid courses, and I have been creating professional digital content since 2007 for several large textbook companies. I have designed and created thousands of professional videos, Powerpoints, animations and interactives.
I retired from teaching full-time in May, 2015 to pursue two dreams. The first is expanding my professional digital content development and technology in education consultation work into a full-time business by reaching out to home-school businesses, parents, teachers, and students who want a lesson built with their personal needs in mind. My second dream is to spend more time on our Beneteau Oceanis 48 sailboat, which I sail with my husband in San Diego.
My teaching and curriculum development experience is in math and instructional technology, therefore this company will be offering lesson design and development in those areas for now, along with technology consultation in all areas. As the company grows, I will be reaching out to find subject matter experts in other curriculum areas as well.
I have experience using Flash, Hyperstudio 5.0, Camtasia Studio, Photoshop, Illustrator, iPad apps, all Office applications, and GeoGebra. I am always learning new applications to build better digital content.
I am currently exploring teaching and learning in AR and VR. It will be a game changer for education! Contact me for more information about using the latest technology to enhance teaching and learning in your classroom.
